(Brian Niiya)
ブライアン・ニイヤは日系アメリカ人の歴史を専門とするパブリック・ヒストリー家です。現在はDenshoのコンテンツ・ディレクターとオンライン版Densho Encyclopediaの編集者を務めており、UCLAアジア系アメリカ人研究センター、全米日系人博物館、ハワイ日本文化センターでコレクションの管理、展覧会の企画、公開プログラムの開発、ビデオ、書籍、ウェブサイトの制作など、さまざまな役職を歴任しました。彼の著作は、幅広い学術出版物、一般向け出版物、ウェブベースの出版物に掲載されており、第二次世界大戦中の日系アメリカ人の強制退去と収容に関するプレゼンテーションやインタビューを頻繁に依頼されています。ロサンゼルスでハワイ出身の二世の両親のもとに生まれ育った「甘やかされて育った三世」である彼は、2017年にロサンゼルスに戻り、現在も同地を拠点としています。
