Part 2 of Dr. Troy Kaji's keynote presentation at the Discover Nikkei event, "Japanese Hospital: Caring for the Pre-war Nikkei Community" at the Japanese American National Museum, Tateuchi Democracy Forum on Saturday, April 11, 2010. In this section, Dr. Kaji continues his presentation about the early history of Japanese medicine, US-Japan relations and impact on Issei and Nisei communities in California, and his grandfather Dr. Kikuo Tashiro's early medical career and family life in Japan and California. He also presents the early history of medical practices of Little Tokyo, including the Japanese Hospital of Southern California.
