I found this bag of rice at the supermarket. The bag has a picture of sushi on it. This tells me how strong 'rice' is linked with the idea of 'sushi' in Westerners' perspective. Usually a bag of rice has a picture of freshly cooked rice or a picture of rice grain, 'ine'. By having a picture of sushi on the bag makes it seem like Japanese eat rice only in the form of sushi, which is obviously not true. However this product is targeted at Westerners (product of U.S.A.) thus having a picture of sushi will provide a better understanding of the product.
