サム・ミハラ
(Sam Mihara)
サム・ミハラは、ワイオミング州ハートマウンテンの収容所に収容されていた元収容者です。彼はサンフランシスコで生まれ育ちました。9 歳でハートマウンテンに入所したサムは、収容所前、収容中、収容後の出来事を鮮明に覚えています。戦後、サムの家族はサンフランシスコに戻りました。彼はカリフォルニア大学バークレー校とカリフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校を卒業し、工学の学位を取得しました。サムはボーイング社でロケット科学者およびマーケティング部長として 42 年間勤務した後、退職しました。彼には 2 人の娘と 2 人の孫がいます。

I remember the spring of 1942. I had just turned 9 years old and the armed United States military came to our neighborhood in San Francisco.
