Color silent amateur films by Dave Tatsuno (1913-2006), a businessman in the San Francisco Bay area. Tatsuno's films, before 1942 and the forced exclusion of World War II, generally show family outings, sporting events, holidays, celebrations, and the family business.
This undated segment shows footage of a trip from San Francisco to Merced and the Yosemite Valley area (01:16); driving down a mountain road; a river valley landscape; pack mules; a rushing river; a street in Merced, California; a road sign, "Yosemite via El Portal"; a rolling train; views from a moving car; a man holding a stop sign [dark]; houses in flood waters; sunset from a car driving past flooded fields
