Slanted Perspectives looks at racsim, bigotry, negative stereotypes, and injustice faced by Japanese Americans throughout history and today. The narratives are based on my own family and personal stories and memoirs. Both of my parents were sent to interment camps (Manzanar and Heart Mountain).
The exhibition opens on April 8, 2018 at 5pm at the Gatov West Gallery on the campus of California State University, Long Beach. The show closes on Thursday, April 12 at 5 pm. Extended hours on Wednesday to 7 pm.
Parking is along East Campus Drive (Gallery is near there): please note the parking hours and restrictions.
