Celebrate the New Year at the Japanese American National Museum 11 a.m-4 p.m. with a free festival including arts and crafts for the whole family. Activities are related to the exhibition Big Drum: Taiko in the United States which closes that day.

Also, at 12 noon and 2 p.m., Kagami Kai Taiko from San Francisco will combine taiko and mochitsuki.

Actor Rodney Kageyama will read the book, Ten Oni Drummers, at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Zampa Ufujishi Daiko, a taiko group from Okinawa, will perform at 3 p.m.
