This photograph shows business owner, Mamoru Hanamura, standing with his staff at his Little Tokyo restuarant, Mitsuru Grill, located at 316 E 1st Street. Hanamuru opened Mitsuru Grill 34 years ago when he emigrated to Los Angeles from Japan. Hanamura has watched the neighborhood evolve over three decades, from a small Japanese community to the multicultural center it is today.
