Vicky Murakami-Tsuda explains the Discover Nikkei project at the "PechaKucha Nite: Innovative Nikkei Projects" program presented by Discover Nikkei at the Tateuchi Democracy Forum of the Japanese American National Museum on August 31, 2010. The program featured six presentations by individuals who are working on projects that engage younger people in their community through culture and activism. The event was co-sponsored by the Museum and the newly formed Nikkei Youth Network based in Tokyo, Japan. In this clip, Dana Heatherton introduces Vicky Murakami-Tsuda, the Communications Production Manager at the Japanese American National Museum. She talks about the Museum's Discover Nikkei project. *Discover Nikkei is a project that provides opportunities to connect with others and share the Nikkei experience.
