The Peruvian Nikkei community has launched the " With You Japan " campaign to support the thousands of victims of the earthquake and tsunami that occurred in Japan on March 11. Activities of spiritual support, such as making origami cranes (tsurus) , and other economic support activities (donations, fundraising activities) will continue throughout the year. The campaign began on March 18 and the first delivery of US$ 150,000 has already been made to the Japanese embassy in Peru, as a sign of solidarity with the Japanese people.
