Color silent amateur films by Dave Tatsuno (1913-2006), a businessman in the San Francisco Bay area. Composed largely of home movie clips, taken 1942-1945, of the environment the Japanese Americans lived in during World War II in forced exclusion at the Topaz concentration camp near Delta, Utah.
This segment (01:00) shows a sign, "Topaz Co-op"; two men, one with a red ribbon on his lapel, shake hands; a Japanese-American soldier in khaki uniform; women exit the camp co-op; a sign, "Dry Goods and Shoe Store"; men and women (co-op staff?) line up outside the store; hands display a calendar for December 1943; a desert sunset.
