Black & white silent amateur footage of family and business activities of Setsuo Aratani (1885-1940), filmed 1926-1940.

This segment (01:50; emulsion partly damaged) shows footage of Aratani's Buddhist funeral (April 1940) in Guadalupe and Santa Maria, California, including Japanese-language banners; a bell-tower (possibly the Guadalupe Buddhist Church); funeral services [dark]; a procession of Buddhist priests; pallbearers placing Aratani's flower-draped casket into a hearse; and family members and mourners outside the temple.
