Rua Galvão Bueno is the main street running through Liberdade, the Asian enclave of Sao Paulo and the heart of the Japanese community in Brazil. The area is recognized for the paper lantern style street lighting. The street lights were actually put in place to promote the Chinatown aspect of Liberdade. Photo taken on Feb. 2, 2008.
