War orphans, whom the 1st Battalion of the 31st Infantry Regiment, US Army was taking care of during the Korean War. 1952, Seoul. The battalion under then-Major Young Oak Kim's command adopted the orphanage in 1951, and gave them financial support for several years. There were approximately 500 orphans in 1952 in the orphanage. They later became reverends, artists, professors, businessmen, etc.
