"Well-known author and journalist, Mrs. Knaefler lives in Manoa, O'ahu in a very Japanese-style house, where I photographed her. There was a lot of light coming through the screen windows and her environment seemed very contemplative, which I thought was also captured in her facial expression and the twinkle in her light-colored eyes."
