
Keiko Miyako Schlegel
Freelance translator and interpreter. Served at the Consulate General of Japan in Seattle from 1992 to 1995 as a member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After returning to Japan, worked at political party headquarters and the U.S. Embassy, researching foreign policy and writing speech manuscripts. After working as a personal secretary to the former president of Canon and a program assistant at the United Nations University, she went freelance. In 2014, she returned to Seattle and, while raising her only daughter, she translates a wide range of subjects including IT, literature, and entertainment. Her main co-translated works include "Build Your Assets Tax-Free" from the Rich Dad's Advisor series. She has lived in Washington state, Massachusetts, Georgia, New York, Indiana, and Florida, and is well versed in American society. Her hobbies are tennis, skiing, watching movies, reading, and cooking.
