Tour dates: Thursday June 21 to Sunday, June 24, 2018 and Friday, August 31 to Monday, September 3, 2018

Visit the West Kootenays area of British Columbia that includes visits to former internment camp sites at Castlegar, Slocan, New Denver, Sandon, Kaslo

At the outbreak of WW2, over 20,000 Canadians of Japanese ancestry living on the BC west coast were labelled “enemy aliens", had the WAR MEASURES ACT imposed on them and forcibly 'removed' from their homes which were confiscated by the federal government along with property and businesses that were never returned then and sent to hastily built internment camps in interior BC.

Listen and learn about their stories from an internee, Dr. George Takashima, who will be guiding the tour

Cost: $600/person: Includes lodging, transportation, all fees, two meals and more....
