The Japanese Canadian National Museum is pleased to present a film The War Between Us to commemorate the 70th anniversary since Japanese Canadian internment in 1942.
The War Between Us takes place during WWII in the interior of BC and deals with the effect of the Canadian government’s policy of internment on the West Coast Nikkei community. Nominated for 6 Gemini Awards, and was the highest rated film broadcast on Canadian TV in 1995. Directed by Anne Wheeler, starring Shannon Lason, Mieko Ouchi.
