The Japan America Society of Minneosota's annual summer event, the Bon Odori and Lantern Lighting, is held every year in St. Paul's Como Park. Come early so you can enjoy every exciting program at the event, from taiko performances to calligraphy, anObon dance (the "Bon Odori"), Japanese food, and more, all of it culminating in the lantern lighting ceremony, as participants light paper lanterns and float them down the river.
