WEEKLY AGENDA OF JAPAN-RELATED ACTIVITIES ________________________________________________ Monday, October 21 to Sunday, October 26, 2009

MONDAY 19 . Screening of documentaries about Japan by the Ikenobo Society of Ikebana Art, at 3 p.m. at Paraguay 1126, Cdad. de Bs. As. WEDNESDAY 21 . Radio program: "JAPON HOY". The following topics are presented: "Architecture of Japan", "Presentation of the Okinawan folklore recital: Nenes, second generation" and a live broadcast from the Buenos Aires legislature at the public hearing on the Japanese Garden in Bs. As., among others. On Radio Palermo FM 93.9, from 5 to 6 p.m. www.japon-hoy.com.ar or www.radiopalermo.com.ar . Public hearing on the Japanese Garden.

At the Buenos Aires Legislature (Perú 160, Cdad. de Bs. As.), at 4 pm. FRIDAY 23 . Demonstration of the Tea Ceremony, at 2:30 pm. At the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Japan (Paraguay 1126, Cdad. de Bs. As.)

Japanese recreational gymnastics, 4 pm. At the Japanese Garden (Casares and Berro Avenue, Buenos Aires City) Entrance: $8.-

SATURDAY 24 and SUNDAY 25. Exhibition of Origami (paper folding art), Kumitate (Japanese interlocking), Bunka Shishu (Japanese embroidery art), Higasa (Japanese umbrellas) and Japanese Ceramics, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. At the Japanese Garden (Casares and Berro avenues, Cdad. de Bs. As.) Admission: $ 8.-
