He served as part of the radio intercept program on Guam.
After the war he moved to Occupied Japan, to serve as a civilian attorney in the legal offices of the US Occupational Forces and was involved various matters.
After the occupation ended, as one of the few foreigners authorized to practice law in Japan, he started his own practice in Tokyo, and later was a founding partner at Adachi, Miyatake, Henderson and Fujita. His clients during his half century legal career included Allstate, Honeywell, Louis Vuitton, Sears and IMG sports notables as Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.
Mr. Adachi enjoyed a high profile in the post-war international business and diplomatic community in Tokyo, including serving as the president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, and of the American Club.
In 1993, the Emperor of Japan awarded him the medal of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, recognizing his work in furthering Japanese and US relations.
