A special stage was built for the 2007 festival performances. At night, projection screens were mounted on the left and right hand sides of the stage.

Okinawan Festival 2007 Stage

A day view of the performance stage at the 2007 Okinawan Festival at Kapiolani Park in Honolulu, Hawaii. At night, the empty spaces to the right and left of the stage would be filled by projection screens for the performance of Rinken Band.

The festival is sponsored by the Hawaii United Okinawan Association, with proceeds supporting the organization’s other programs. It is a celebration of Okinawan culture in Hawaii that attracts over 50,000 visitors each year. 2007 marked the festival's 25th anniversary.
