Yagura (Japanese Village Plaza Fire Tower in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo)

At the end of JVP (or at the beginning if you're walking through from First Street) is the yagura, or fire tower.

I'm pretty sure it's purely decorative, but it is very iconic.

This is the decorative yagura, or fire tower, in the Japanese Village Plaza (JVP) of Los Angeles' Little Tokyo district.

It's located at the First Street entrance to the Village Plaza. This photo was taken on October 26, 2007.
