This was a batch of ika (squid) that was being barbecued at the Orange County Buddhist Church Obon for their Ika Teriyaki booth. I watched as they cooked on the grills with juices dripping into the fire. Once they were grilled, the ika was sliced up and put into plastic salad-size bowls in a bed of lettuce.
This batch had just the squid torso. I took a photo of a different batch that was mostly just the leg parts.
I didn't eat any of the ika, but I heard it was really good. Here's what it looked like in the bowl: 2007 Orange County Buddhist Church Obon - Ika Teriyaki 2.
