Most vivid memory of military experience
There were serious experiences with life and death. He mentioned, that there was a comrade that was killed who was on the right side of him and then with all the guns firing, the comrade on the left was killed. But he was saved to return home.
There is a humorous situation about how he slept in a foxhole, exhausted from no sleep for days. Next day, he looked around and his company left him behind. He slept through all the guns firing and bombs dropping. He located his company eventually.
