Black and white silent amateur films by Dave Tatsuno (1913-2006), a businessman in the San Francisco Bay area. Tatsuno's films, before 1942 and the forced exclusion of World War II, generally show family outings, sporting events, holidays, celebrations, and the family business.
This segment, from the late 1930s, shows the Tatsunos walking through the new San Francisco subdivision, Lakeside, and the elaborate Christmas decorations at the sales office of Lakeside's developers, the Stoneson Brothers; in addition to Santa Claus, the decorations are mostly Disney animated characters, including Ferdinand the Bull, Dumbo, Mickey Mouse, the Three Little Pigs, and the Seven Dwarves (00:41).
