What is Project HASHI?
It is a grass-roots, student initiated volunteer program aimed at bridging the connection between college students and the community based organizations (CBO's) of Little Tokyo through volunteering. The future of Little Tokyo is in the hands of today's Youth. Through Project HASHI, we hope give volunteers a taste of what different CBO's do and what careers can be found in LT.Through this program we also aim to forge personal bonds with the LT non-profit orgs and help bring back the youth to the community.

Project Hashi was initiated by the UCLA Nikkei Student Union in 2009, conceptualized by Nate Imai and Stephanie Sakai.
