パラグアイとブラジル日系社会との交流

ブラジルは2008年、日本移民100周年を盛大に祝った。ブラジルは150万といわれる、世界最大の日系社会を有する。ひるがえって、ブラジルに隣接するパラグアイは日系8000人と言われる。数は少ないが、まとまっているのが特色かもしれない。そのパラグアイ日系社会にも日本語と日系社会から離れて行く若者、高校を済ませば日本に出稼ぎに行く若者、高齢化がすすむ日系社会など多くの問題がある。一方、パラグアイとパラナ河をはさんで背中合わせにあるブラジル国パラナ州には、ブラジルでも活気があると有名なマリンガ日系社会がある。このマリンガで移民100周年を記念し、「ブラジル三州（サンパウロ、パラナ、マットグロッソ・デ・スール）・パラグアイ交流お話大会」が開催された。
