Ghostown recalls and memorializes a pivotal event in Steven Nunoda’s family history, the internment of 22,000 persons of Japanese descent during the Second World War. Combining 200 miniature tarpaper models with audio and video, the exhibit provides a focus for community remembrance. The work comments on immigrant experiences, broader issues of human rights, displaced populations and the effects of racism.

Steven Nunoda in conversation with curator Beth Carter Saturday, June 14, 2pm

Opening reception Saturday, June 14, 3-5pm
