Eric Nakamura
Eric Nakamura formou-se na UCLA em Estudos do Leste Asiático. Ele começou na produção de revistas através de uma passagem pelo jornal Palisadian Post, mas trabalhou em vários zines de punk rock no início dos anos 90. Além de fundar e publicar edições da revista Giant Robot desde 1994, fazer curadoria de galerias de arte e escolher produtos para a loja (Giant Robot) e galeria (GR2), localizada na Sawtelle Blvd, no oeste de Los Angeles, Nakamura fez um filme independente chamado Sunsets em 1997.
Ele presta consultoria para empresas sobre a cultura popular asiática e desenha camisetas para a marca Giant Robot. Recentemente, Nakamura foi curador de uma série de exposições em museus, “Giant Robot Biennale” no Museu Nacional Japonês Americano em Los Angeles, e continua a trabalhar em projetos fora do Giant Robot para diferentes comunidades e entidades. A Giant Robot continua a ser uma importante fonte de cultura popular asiática e é frequentemente considerada uma marca de estilo de vida para os fãs de animação, arte e design.

In celebration of its 50th issue and in collaboration with the Japanese American National Museum, the pop-culture magazine Giant Robot has assembled works by ten cutting-edge artists from around the country in Giant Robot Biennale: 50 Issues.
