 launched <i>Giant Robot</i> magazine with fellow UCLA alumnus Martin Wong 
 in 1994. The magazine has since expanded into boutique shops of the same n
 ame in Los Angeles\, San Francisco\, and New York as well as a restaurant 
 in L.A. Nakamura has also directed the independent ?lm <i>Sunsets</i>.
