Third Street\, Los Angeles. The program will inc lude a Buddhist service\, music\, poetry and recollections from close frie nds and family.\n\n<!--break--> \nBorn in Los Angeles\, January 6\, 19 23\, Sue passed away May 15\, 2006. While best known for her work to pres erve Manzanar\, Sue also served on the Los Angeles City Status of Women Co mmission and was part of the U.S. Delegation to the United Nations Second World Conference on Women. An active member of the United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA)\, she was a strong supporter of the labor movement and a m ember of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance.\n \nSue authored < i>The Lost Years: 1942-1946</i>\, and <i>Manzanar Martyr: An Interview wit h Harry Ueno</i>.
