 &lt;strong&gt;Tamiko Nimura&lt;/strong&gt; is an Asian American writer living in Tacom
 a\, Washington. She has been writing for Discover Nikkei since 2008\, and 
 has just published her first book\, &lt;em&gt;Rosa Franklin: A Life in Health Ca
 re\, Public Service\, and Social Justice&lt;/em&gt; (Washington State Legislatur
 e Oral History Program\, 2020). Her second book is a co-written graphic no
 vel\, titled &lt;em&gt;We Hereby Refuse: Japanese American Resistance to Wartime
  Incarceration&lt;/em&gt; (Chin Music Press/Wing Luke Asian Museum\, forthcoming
  March 2021). She is working on a memoir called &lt;em&gt;PILGRIMAGE&lt;/em&gt;. &lt;stro

 teering at the Japanese American National Museum\, co-chair of the Outreac
 h Committee for Okaeri: A Nikkei LGBTQ Community\, and National Chair of t
