Mainly Japanese Ame ricans\, MIS soldiers were front-line interrogators and translators in war time\, and linked the Occupation forces and the Japanese people in the pos twar period.\n\n"Winning the Peace" features a traveling exhibit that is o n loan from the National Japanese American Historical Society of San Franc isco\, as well as the personal stories of Chicago-area MIS veterans\, told through text\, images\, artifacts\, and video clips.
