Taiko Weekend Intensive: Naname Boot Camp
Explore the fundamentals of SJT naname (slant stand) style during this three-day workshop.
Learn:
- challenging drills to improve your technique and stamina
- exercises to sharpen your soloing skills
- ways to use movement effectively and ergonomically
Taiko Weekend Intensive (TWI) is a three-day workshop led by members of the SJT Artistic Staff designed to enhance a taiko player's abilities as a performer and member of the taiko community. Meet fellow taiko enthusiasts from across the country and around the world.
When: October 16-18
Saturday morning to Monday afternoon.
Where:
San Jose Taiko Studio
Bring:
Bachi, a water bottle, notebook, an open mind, and an enthusiastic heart. Drums will be provided.
Cost:
$300: Includes 3 lunch and 1 dinner meals.
Requirements:
Applicants must have at least two years of taiko-playing experience. Preference will be given to applicants who are currently performing members of existing taiko groups.
