This is the back of a Terminal Islanders happi coat. The photo was taken on July 15, 2007 at the Orange County Buddhist Church Obon during the ondo dancing. This happi coat especially caught my eye because it was so graphically designed with the ocean waves along the bottom part of the happi and the fish head as part of the main "mon" part of the design.

There's a little bit about the Terminal Islanders on the Terminal Island wikipedia page. According to the page, the Terminal Islanders Club is a group that was formed in 1971 by former residents of Terminal Island.
