Hirochika Nakamaki


He completed his doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Humanities at the University of Tokyo, and is a Doctor of Literature. After working as a research fellow at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, he has been conducting research as a staff member at the National Museum of Ethnology since 1977. Currently, as a professor in the Department of Ethnocultural Studies, he is conducting anthropological research on Nikkei religions and corporate religions, as well as shamanism in the Brazilian Amazon and calendar culture.
