This building is an old school that is being renovated into an art museum featuring the work of Japanese Brazilians.
It is located in Liberdade, Sao Paulo, Brazil. It is scheduled to open in 2008 in time to mark the 100th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Brazil. Manabu Mabe (1924-1997) was a well-recognized abstract painter in Brazil. www.institutomanabumabe.org.br
