The Venice Japanese Community Center held their annual Obon Festival, helping bring the entire community together. There was a huge selection of good food, games, exhibits, and entertainment!

Make a Wish!In the middle of the odori circle, people were able to write a wish on a small piece of paper (tanzaku) and attach it to the tree. Hopefully all of their wishes come true!

Basketball GamesAs a huge part of the JA community, basketball is by far one of the most popular sports played. Basketball players put their skill to the test, shooting hoops against the clock in order to win the LARGE prize. |

OdoriFriends and Family came out in their kimonos and happi coats, forming a circle to enjoy the odori (dancing). The two favorites were the samba and 1+1. |
