クリスティン・ハナオカはシカゴ郊外出身の4世日系アメリカ人です。イリノイ州立大学を卒業し、初等教育の学位を取得しました。現在は、日本東北海岸の福島県の真南に位置する茨城県高萩市で、外国語指導助手として日本教育交流プログラムに参加し、日本で英語を教えています。クリスティンは2009年7月から日本に滞在し、茨城県北部のいくつかの高校で教えています。

Friday, March 11On Friday, March 11, 2011, my life was turned upside down. A 9.0 earthquake struck the northeastern coast of Japan, followed by a massive tsunami that killed more than 8,100 people, left 12,000 missing and displaced 452,000 people.
