タニ ミツイ ブラウンはフルブライト フェローで、現在 2013-2014 年度にベトナムでフルブライト英語教育アシスタントを務めています。彼女は 2010 年にプリンストン大学を卒業し、そこで宗教とアフリカ系アメリカ人研究を学び、女子バスケットボール チームのキャプテンを務めました。また、ハフィントン ポストの大学セクションにも頻繁に寄稿しています。タニの家族は南カリフォルニアに住んでおり、彼女はそこでベニス ロケッツで初めてバスケットボールの遊び方を学びました。

I’m currently carrying out a Fulbright English Teaching Fellowship in Northern Vietnam. When I sit down to meals with my students, they are always surprised at my skill with chopsticks. I try to explain to them in broken Vietnamese: cha tôi là người Mỹ gốc Phi, mẹ tôi là Mỹ gốc Nhật. My father is African-American. My mother is Japanese-American.
