DESCRIPTION:<strong>Rob Sato</strong>&nbsp\;is an artist\, illustrator\, an
 d writer living and working in Los Angeles. Known for his watercolors and 
 extensive drawing practice\, he traverses a wide range of expression explo
 ring the spaces between pictorial narrative and abstraction. Weaving autob
 iographical\, historical and fantastical imagery together\, he mixes humor
  and beauty to create a wild\, lush and enigmatic dimension that overlays 
 our own. He has exhibited his work around the world\, including at the Jap
 anese American National Museum. His work has been featured in publications
  such as Juxtapoz Magazine\, The New York Times\, Giant Robot Magazine and
  New American Painting.\n\nInspired by the work of Stanley Hayami\, featur
 ed in our upcoming exhibition\,&nbsp\;<em>A Life in Pieces</em>\, Sato wil
 l lead us through some drawing games with memory recording\, journaling\, 
 and autobiography in mind\, in this interactive workshop designed to spark
  creativity in the middle of your day.\n\nThis workshop is part of a new s
 eries of free\, lunchtime art workshops that you can do with the supplies 
 you have at home called&nbsp\;<em>Art Break. Art Break</em>&nbsp\;is made 
 possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles\, Department of C
