DESCRIPTION:Nihonmachi Little Friends (NLF)\, a community based Japanese bi
 lingual and multicultural non-profit childcare organization\, is presentin
 g their annual theater production and auction\, &ldquo\;Dowa no Omatsuri: 
 A Festival of Children&rsquo\;s Stories&rdquo\; on <strong>Sunday\, Februa
 ry 26\, 2017.</strong> The event takes place at the Palace of Fine Arts Th
 eater\, 3301 Lyon Street in San Francisco.&nbsp\;\n\nWell-known community 
 personalities <strong>Ms. June-ko Nakagawa</strong> and <strong>Mr. Benh N
 akajo</strong> are serving as co-hosts for the program. The show features 
 <strong>GenRyu Arts</strong> and the students of NLF. The preschoolers&rsq
 uo\; performances of &ldquo\;Minna no Uta&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;The Giving S
 chool&rdquo\; are in celebration and anticipation of NLF&rsquo\;s preschoo
 l building addition&rsquo\;s completion in the very near future. The eleme
 ntary school-age children of the After School Program are staging &ldquo\;
 The Zafari Quest&rdquo\; about a board game that comes to life. The silent
  auction begins at 12pm in the lobby preceding the 1:30pm theater show\, w
 ith live entertainment provided by &ldquo\;<strong>The Shut-Ins.</strong>&
 rdquo\; A raffle and refreshments in the lobby will follow the theater per
 formance.\n\nNLF has been providing quality childcare\, educational progra
 ms and services for preschoolers through elementary school-age children an
 d their families since 1975. The construction of the building addition to 
 its historic 1830 Sutter Street facility is made possible through its on-g
 oing Plant a Seed Capital Campaign.&nbsp\;\n\nTickets to the event are $30
  in advance\, (2 or more are $25 each)\, or $40 at the door for adults. Yo
 uth 5 to 17 years are $10\; and children four years and under are free.&nb
 sp\;Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the programs and operations
