Hula, Hawaiian traditional dance, is a sacred art form of the Hawaiian Islands. It originated a long time ago, and with the arrival of the Western influences ancient hula evolved into 'hula auana', modern hula, but it is still connected to its sacred past. In our fall hula workshop series we will learn the basic steps of the feet, hands and hips; we will talk story about Hawai'i; we will also learn choreography, words and meaning of a beautiful 'hula auana'.
