The Idaho-Oregon Buddhist Buddhist Temple holds their 61st Japan Nite Obon Festival from 4 to 9:30 p.m. (MPT). There will be a variety of American and Japanese foods for sale. Entertainment by the Sangha Taiko at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Oregon-Idaho Kendo Club at 7 p.m. Folk dancing on the Temple grounds begins at 7:30 p.m. with special dance numbers from Madam Fujima’s students during intermission.
Bon Odori practices will be held on June 24, 26 and 28 at 8 p.m. (MDT) in the basement of the Temple.

The Seattle Betsuin is celebrating their 75th anniversary on Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. with Bon Odori at 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. with Bon Odori at 5 p.m.
American and Japanese foods will be sold. Cultural exhibits including ikebana, mizuhiki (paper cord art), judo, aikido and taiko. For attendees 21 and over, there will be a beer and sake garden with live music by Deems Tsutakawa on Saturday evening and Emerald City Jazz Ensemble on Sunday evening.
Bon Odori practices will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on July 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16 and 17.
