Part 2 of the Q & A session from the "PechaKucha Nite: Innovative Nikkei Projects" program presented by Discover Nikkei at the Tateuchi Democracy Forum of the Japanese American National Museum on August 31, 2010. The program featured six presentations by individuals who are working on projects that engage younger people in their community through culture and activism. The event was co-sponsored by the Museum and the newly formed Nikkei Youth Network based in Tokyo, Japan. In this clip, the panel responds to the question of whether and how an international network of Nikkei can be developed: Craig Ishii (JACL-PSW), Nolan Dyo (Rising Stars Youth Leadership Program), Kevin Machino (UCLA NSU), Ryan Suda (Blacklava), Vicky Murakami-Tsuda (JANM/Discover Nikkei), and Akira Uchimura (Nikkei Youth Network). *Discover Nikkei is a project that provides opportunities to connect with others and share the Nikkei experience. It is a project of the Japanese American National Museum, made possible with major funding by The Nippon Foundation. The DiscoverNikkei.org website is the primary component of the project.
