Color silent amateur footage (1940's-early 1950's) taken by Terminal Island resident Ben Fukuzaki, primarily of the fishing industry in and around Fish Harbor, Terminal Island, and San Pedro, California.
This segment shows a fisherman securing equipment; net lines unreeling; fishermen hoisting nets aboard and pulling tuna from nets; fish in nets, between boats; hoisting nets full of fish; and dropping fish into the boat's hold (02:26).
