@MinoruActualmente reside en la prefectura de Nara. Su bisabuelo era un issei que emigró a Hawaii en 1900. Su abuela era nisei. Graduado del Departamento de Sociología de la Universidad de Doshisha. Estudió literatura y cultura asiáticoamericana con el profesor You Nakayama (Universidad Seika de Kyoto). Adquirió interés por la música popular asiáticoamericana. Voluntaria en Asian Improv aRts/Records (San Francisco y Chicago) como coordinadora de comunicación japonesa. Miembro del Grupo de Investigación en Literatura Asiático-Americana y del Grupo de Investigación sobre Migraciones.

Background and Issue Awareness: YOKOHAMA, CALIFORNIA is the title of an LP record released by Asian American musicians in the San Francisco Bay Area and San Jose.
