DESCRIPTION:Nihonmachi Little Friends (NLF) will hold an Open House on Satu
 rday\, July 8th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at its brand new preschool addition\,
  located adjacent to its historic Issei Women&rsquo\;s Building at 1830 Su
 tter Street in San Francisco&rsquo\;s Japantown. The event will feature a 
 reveal of the community donor board displays and guided tours of the new f
 acility. Light refreshments will be served.\n\nIn 2012\, NLF launched the 
 Plant A Seed Capital Campaign (PASC) to create the preschool addition whic
 h\, along with the Issei Women&rsquo\;s Building\, is the permanent home f
 or its preschool programs. The addition increases the programs&rsquo\; max
 imum capacity from 80 to 91 children\, and features a rooftop playground a
 nd a garden. The new facility officially opened its doors to the preschool
  children on May 22\, and the responses from the children and their famili
 es have been very positive. &ldquo\;On behalf of our children\, staff\, an
 d board\, we would like to express our sincerest gratitude\,&rdquo\; state
 s NLF Executive Director Cathy Inamasu. &ldquo\;We simply could not have d
 one this major accomplishment without the generous support of our communit
 y.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;\n\nFundraising for the new building addition is continui
 ng\, with two additional events planned: the Big Steps for Little Friends 
 5K Run/Walk on Sunday\, October 22nd\; and the Sushi Social/42nd Anniversa
 ry of the agency at its new facility on Friday\, November 17th. Naming opp
 ortunities are still available starting at $1\,000\, with recognition on d
 onor boards in the new building lobby. Information on ways to help NLF rea
