DESCRIPTION:Nihonmachi Little Friends (NLF) will hold a Ribbon-Cutting Cere
 mony on Friday\, May 19 from 11:00 am to noon at its brand new preschool a
 ddition\, located adjacent to its historic Issei Women&rsquo\;s Building a
 t 1830 Sutter Street in San Francisco&rsquo\;s Japantown. The event will i
 nclude a performance by the NLF preschoolers and participation by the Japa
 nese American Religious Federation. Light refreshments will be served.\n\n
 In 2012\, NLF launched the Plant A Seed Campaign (PASC) to create this pre
 school addition which\, along with the Issei Women&rsquo\;s Building\, is 
 the permanent home for its preschool programs. The new facility will enabl
 e NLF to increase its preschool licensed capacity to 90 children\, and wil
 l feature a rooftop playground. &ldquo\;On behalf of our children\, staff\
 , and board\, we would like to express our sincerest gratitude\,&rdquo\; s
 tates NLF Executive Director Cathy Inamasu. &ldquo\;We simply could not ha
 ve done this major accomplishment without the generous support of our comm
 unity.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;\n\n Fundraising for the new building addition is con
 tinuing\, with three additional events planned: Grand Opening on Saturday\
 , July 8th\, the Big Steps for Little Friends 5K Run/Walk in October\; and
  the Sushi Social/42nd Anniversary of the agency at its new facility on Fr
 iday\, November 17th. Naming opportunities are still available starting at
  $1\,000\, with recognition on donor boards in the new building lobby. Inf
